So ever since ordering some Island Creek Oysters, I am now on the email list for new developments the company wants to push out to its seafood living fans. The other day, I received a email telling me there was a limited availability of some Bay View Oysters from Dennis, MA. A bit more saltier than ICOs, this sounded like something I wanted to try. From a look at a map, Dennis is not far from Duxbury and the way the ICO company described the oysters was almost akin to the microbrew houses sprouting up across the country. I took the dive and purchased 100 Bay View Oysters after feeling the itch for the east coast ocean taste and also seeing my pile of ICO shells sitting on the back patio table and recalling the enjoyment. The degrees are finally falling here in New Mexico, and all I had to do was wait for the overnight shipment to arrive. Like the last two orders, having super fresh oyster product is heavenly at a reasonable price. Below is a photo chronicle of the unboxing and first samples of what will be a wonderful weekend.
